Stephen serves as Chief Information Security Officer for Argent Financial Group in the Shreveport office. In this role, he provides oversight for approved technology initiatives and contributes recommendations on enterprise technical standards, hardware, software, and network investments to support the operational needs of Argent Trust Company.
He joined the organization with more than 15 years of experience leading cybersecurity teams and guiding institutions through complex security challenges across government, SLED, and commercial sectors. His background in scaling security programs, modernizing architectures, and operationalizing risk strategy supported his appointment to the CISO role.
A seasoned security leader and architect, Stephen brings deep expertise in Zero Trust strategy, cloud security, vulnerability management, extended detection and response (XDR), and compliance automation. Prior to joining the company, he held senior cybersecurity positions at ConvergeOne and GDIT, where he oversaw multimillion-dollar security portfolios, supported SOC transformations, and partnered with executives on risk-aligned security decision-making.
Stephen is passionate about mentoring emerging talent and fostering clarity, alignment, and continuous growth within the teams he supports.
Outside of work, Stephen is involved in youth sports in his community, enjoys fishing, and follows collegiate athletics, including NCAA events. He and his wife, Melynn, have two children.
