Preston Smith joined Argent Mineral Management in 2022 as a mineral manager based in our Shreveport, LA office. His focus is on full service mineral management including oil and gas revenue accounting, audits, activity management, negotiations of oil & gas mineral leases, pipeline rights-of-way, well locations, subsurface easements, and frac water agreements.

He is a Certified Professional Landman and member of the American Association of Professional Landmen (AAPL) and a past President (2022-23) of the Ark-La-Tex Association of Professional Landmen (ALTAPL). He has petroleum land work experience across most of the oil and gas producing States including: Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, North Dakota, New Mexico, Kansas, Wyoming, Ohio, Montana, and Colorado.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the Louisiana Tech University College of Business in May of 2009.

Preston and his wife and two daughters live in Shreveport, LA.
