Murray Myers serves as market president at Argent Trust Company in our Greenville office. In this role, Myers oversees the administration of trust, estate, and retirement services as the senior leader. With more than 30 years of experience, he brings expertise in building relationships with affluent clients, recruiting top talent, delivering comprehensive services, and driving organizational growth.
Myers previously held a distinguished 26-year tenure with BB&T, which became Truist Bank following the 2019 merger of BB&T and SunTrust banks. Most recently, he served as executive vice president and wealth division director at Truist.
He earned a Master of Arts from Columbia International University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Myers holds Series 24, 7, and 66 securities licenses and life and health insurance licenses, underscoring his expertise in financial services.
Earlier in his career at BB&T, Myers served as the wealth executive director for the wealth advisor division. He also held leadership roles as wealth management group director, regional director, and asset management business development officer. Prior to joining BB&T, he was vice president, trust officer, and private banking officer at Wachovia Bank, N.A.
A University of North Carolina graduate at Chapel Hill, Myers is an avid Tar Heel fan who enjoys traveling, watching movies with friends, and spending time at the beach in DeBordieu, SC. He and his wife, Jami, live in Charlotte, NC, where they cherish time with their seven children and two dogs, Bailey and Bella.
