Chris Holtzclaw, J.D.

Mr. Holtzclaw serves as Chief Legal Counsel and President of Argent’s Energy Services Group, which includes the Royalty Trust business line, Argent Mineral Management, LLC, and O/G Trust Services, LLC.

He previously served as Chief Fiduciary Officer for the Western Region of Argent Trust Company, overseeing trust and wealth management operations across Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. In that role, he was responsible for account administration, business development, and risk and litigation management. He worked closely with wealth advisors, trust officers, and investment professionals to enhance the client experience and mitigate risk to the firm.

Mr. Holtzclaw earned a Juris Doctor from Mississippi College School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Louisiana Tech University. He resides in Ruston, Louisiana, with his wife and four children. Outside of work, he enjoys coaching youth sports, hunting, fishing, and following state and local politics.
