Martin serves as CEO and Co-Chief Investment Officer at Argent Wealth, overseeing strategic leadership and investment operations. He earned his bachelor’s in business administration with a specialization in Finance from the Else School of Management at Millsaps College in 2006. He furthered his education with an Executive MBA from Millsaps College in 2019.
Prior to joining Argent, he worked at Pinnacle guiding clients through wealth management challenges and on all fixed-income and alternative investment portfolios. His financial expertise was honed as a hedge fund analyst in Washington, D.C., where he provided advisory services for approximately $2 billion in institutional assets. Before joining Pinnacle, Martin excelled as the portfolio manager for a substantial $12 billion portfolio within a state pension fund.
Beyond the boardroom, Martin is a committed member of the Executive Board for the Brandon Futbol Club, where he not only spearheads the Rankin SuperCup tournament but also contributes to the sport as a dedicated referee. His philanthropic efforts extend to the board of Doug Owen’s Running with Lions ministry.
Martin was awarded the Mississippi Business Journal’s Leaders in Finance award in 2019 and the Top CEOs award in 2023. He was also a Top 10 finalist for Top 50 Under 40 in 2021. He co-hosts the engaging Mind on My Money podcast, offering valuable insights to a broad audience.
Residing in Jackson, Martin finds joy in exploring the world with his wife, Jennifer and their three children, Kristoffer, Bella, and Gianna. They actively participate in the vibrant community at Fondren Church.
