Hyder is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Investment Strategist for Argent Trust in New Orleans. With more than 20 years of experience, he advises individuals, family offices, institutions, and nonprofit organizations on investment strategy, manager selection, and fiduciary oversight.
At Argent Trust, Hyder plays a key role in firmwide investment decision-making and serves on multiple committees, including leading the Manager Selection and Due Diligence Committee, where he oversees the evaluation and monitoring of all mutual funds & ETFs across the Argent Trust platform.
Prior to joining Argent, Hyder served as an investment consultant at CAPTRUST (formerly Crescent Capital Consulting), providing investment solutions and consultative services to family offices and nonprofit entities. Earlier in his career he held roles at J. P. Morgan, Iberiabank, and Legg Mason, gaining broad experience across capital markets and investment management platforms.
Hyder is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society of Louisiana, and the Investment & Wealth Institute (IWI). He lives in New Orleans with his wife and two teenage children and is actively engaged in civic and community leadership, currently serving on the boards of the Ronald McDonald House of South Louisiana and the Metropolitan Crime Commission plus prior involvement with the Audubon Nature Institute, WYES, Lighthouse for the Blind, Louise S. McGehee School, and Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation.
