MEMPHIS, Tenn., March 6, 2018 – Highland Capital Management has been awarded a Top Guns designation by Informa Investment Solutions’ PSN manager database, North America’s longest running database of investment managers.
This recognition is based on the performance of Highland ‘s Core Fixed Income product for quarter ending December 31, 2017. This product provides a broad, financial analysis of its client assets, allowing market inefficiencies to be fixed – creating measurable value for clients.
“We are honored to have achieved this status and proud of our history in managing Core Fixed Income assets for all of our clients.,” said Jed Miller, director of Fixed Income Strategies for Highland Capital Management. “The Top Guns designation shows our dedication to continually providing our clients with exceptional service while striving every day to meet their performance expectations.”
PSN Top Guns rank, with six possible categorical achievements in over 50 different spheres, is acquired through rigorous performance screenings and detailed judging criteria. Companies are given a rating of one to six stars, with the number of stars representing continued performance over time.
Highland Capital’s Core Fixed Income product earned five stars, which means it generated an R-Squared of 0.80 or greater relative to the style benchmark for the recent five-year period. Also, it achieved returns greater than the style benchmark for the three latest three-year rolling periods. In addition, its standard deviation for the five-year period was equal or less than the median standard deviation for its peer group. Finally, it achieved Top Gun status when the Core Fixed Income product was shown to be one of the top ten returns for the latest three-year period.
“PSN Top Guns is a go-to resource for institutional asset managers and investors in their decision-making process,” said Ryan Nauman, VP, product and market strategist at Informa Financial Intelligence. “Congratulations to Highland Capital Management, on being named a PSN Top Gun. This highly respected ranking spotlights the performance of leading investment managers each quarter.”
