DALLAS, Texas, May 17, 2018 – Argent Trust Company has hired Mary Coane as a wealth advisor in its Dallas office.

She will work in a fiduciary role with Argent Trust Company clients. Argent’s Dallas office opened in March and is one of six Texas locations for the Louisiana-based company.

Coane has almost 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before coming to Argent, she was a senior fiduciary risk specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, where she examined the fiduciary and wealth management activities of state member banks and bank holding companies to verify their adherence with the law. Previously, she was a senior vice president and wealth advisor at Frost Bank from 2006 to 2016.

Coane also spent 15 years with Bank of America from 1991 to 2006, rising to the position of vice president and senior trust officer, where she administered more than 220 personal trust, agency, IRA and private foundation accounts with a total market value of more than $200 million.

“Mary’s depth of experience in trust management makes her ideally suited to help our clients map out their financial lives,” said Dallas Market President Linda Baker. “We’re glad to have her expertise to draw from as we build out our team here in Dallas.”

“I’m excited to be working again in a client-facing role at Argent, which places real emphasis on delivering personalized service to each client,” Coane says. “I also look forward to working again with Linda, my former colleague from Frost Bank.”

Coane graduated from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania, in 1987 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She received her Certified Trust & Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation from Cannon Financial Institute in Athens, Georgia, in 1999, and her CFP designation from Southern Methodist University in Dallas in 2011.
