Mark Milton

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana, April 16, 2018 – Argent Trust Company has named Mark Milton as senior vice president of institutional services, based in its New Orleans office.

Milton will lead Argent’s retirement consulting, institutional custody and funeral trust services. He will report directly to Argent CEO Kyle McDonald.

He has more than 30 years’ experience in various roles in the financial services industry, including sales, business development, operations, risk management and compliance.

“Mark knows our industry inside and out and knows how to generate growth with institutional clients by providing exceptional service,” said Argent Financial Group CEO Kyle McDonald. “He and I have known each other for decades and we’re glad to finally have him on our team.”

Before joining Argent, Milton was regional marketing director for Iberia Bank in New Orleans, where he managed the bank’s Wealth Management business unit for Arkansas, Louisiana and Texas. Before that, he spent 18 years at Regions Bank, where he played a key role in the growth of their trust and asset management division. While at Regions, he specialized in M&A strategy, funeral trusts and asset gathering for institutions.

“I’m excited to be joining Argent’s team of fiduciary experts,” Milton said. “Even though it is one of the largest wealth management firms in the South, I appreciate how Argent provides the individualized attention usually associated with a smaller firm, allowing more flexibility for our advisors to focus on delivering value to our clients.”

Milton graduated from Mississippi College in 1981 with a BA in accounting, and received his BS in economics in 1985 from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
