Argent Hires New Trust Officer – Brenda Van Valen

CHARLOTTE, NC (February 3, 2015) – Argent Financial Group and its subsidiary Argent Trust Company, are pleased to announce the opening of an office in Charlotte, North Carolina under the leadership of Brenda Van Valen.

Argent Trust Company, chartered as an independent Tennessee trust company in the 1980’s, provides a full range of trust, fiduciary and wealth management related services to clients.

Van Valen CFP®, CTFA, CWS®, joins Argent Trust as Market President of the Charlotte office. She manages client relationships for individuals and institutions. Van Valen has served clients for 25 years in a similar capacity with other Charlotte trust and wealth management entities, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Reliance Trust.

Argent’s team also includes Frank Hosse, Chief Investment Officer of Argent Trust and Howard Safer, CEO of Argent Trust. Hosse and Safer will provide services and support to Charlotte area clients in conjunction with Van Valen. Safer has been recognized as one of Worth magazine’s “Best Financial Advisors”, Inducted into Research Magazine’s Advisor Hall of Fame and one of the Top Five National “Most Innovative Investment Professionals” by Ticker magazine.
