RUSTON, Louisiana – May 3, 2019 – Argent Financial Group has been recognized as one of the nation’s fastest growing companies by the 17th Annual American Business Awards®.
The Ruston, Louisiana-based financial services company received a bronze award in the Fastest Growing Company category for up to 2,500 employees. This is the second year in a row Argent has won an American Business Awards’ “Stevie” award, widely recognized as one of the nation’s top business awards. Argent is the only Louisiana company to win in this category.
More than 3,800 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration in a wide range of categories.
Judges noted Argent’s “impressive growth,” which includes its acquisition earlier this year of Live Oak Bank’s pre-need funeral trust business in Wilmington, North Carolina; its opening of a Trust Operations Center in Birmingham, Alabama; and new trust offices in New Orleans, Louisiana, Jackson and Oxford, Mississippi, as well as Austin, Dallas and Fort Worth — adding to its existing Texas offices in San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Beaumont. Today, Argent has a 31-market footprint with offices located across 12 Southern states.
Judges also praised the company for its “extraordinary performance,” with “good qualifications in terms of the staff, investment, and marketing strategy, including social media.”
