Alan Erickson has joined Highland Capital Management as Senior Bond Portfolio Manager in the Memphis office. He brings 30 years of experience in fixed income portfolio management, having most recently served as Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager with Columbia Threadneedle in Boston.

Alan has deep expertise across all investment-grade fixed income sectors and extensive experience working with a wide range of client types. He is highly skilled in developing strategies that optimize portfolios, with a proven track record of maximizing returns while managing risk. Alan prioritizes risk management and clear client communication, ensuring that investors fully understand portfolio strategies, market dynamics, and performance outcomes.

A collaborative team player, Alan leverages firm resources to create data-driven, consensus-based strategies that provide reliable results in fluctuating markets.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Bates College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
