LAKE CHARLES, Louisiana, July 8, 2019 – Argent Trust Company announced today that Tiffany Fontenot has joined the company as a trust administrator in the Lake Charles office. She will report to vice president and trust officer Jim Christman and will be responsible for working closely with clients and the day-to-day administration of trust and investment accounts.
Fontenot joins Argent from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Department, where she served as a senior administrative assistant for the past 19 years. While there, she was responsible for handling confidential correspondence, preparing memos and legal documents, and managing an active calendar of appointments.
Fontenot will be taking over her role from Doris Stephens, who will be retiring after 15 years with Argent Trust.
“We want to thank Doris for 15 years of diligent service and friendship and send our sincerest wishes for a fulfilling retirement,” Christman said. “We’ll miss Doris, of course, but are also pleased to welcome Tiffany to our team. She has proven herself a dedicated public servant and I look forward to her meeting our clients’ needs with the same level of detailed excellence she exhibited in her 19 years with the sheriff’s department.”
A native of Lake Charles, Fontenot is an active community member. She attends Derby for Dollars every year in support of the Shannon Cox Counseling Center, is involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and other area charity events each year.
“I was attracted to Argent as I know them to be a company that understands the wealth management needs of the progressive and ever-changing Lake Charles community,” said Fontenot. “I’m looking forward to working with the Argent Trust team and their clients.”
Fontenot is a graduate of Barbe High School in Lake Charles.
