Argent Financial Group, a leading independent fiduciary wealth management firm, announced today that it will sponsor a fourth fellowship for the Hambidge Creative Residency Program. Applications are now open for the 2022 summer session that begins in May and runs through August.
The Argent Financial Distinguished Fellowship provides a $700 stipend and a two-week creative residency at the Hambidge Center in Rabun Gap, Georgia. Ruston residents who work in the visual arts, writing, ceramics, dance, music or culinary arts are eligible and encouraged to apply.
“Argent has been a supporter of Hambidge for four years in a row now. We are grateful for their partnership and support in helping Ruston’s creative individuals who bring beauty and meaning to the area,” said Jamie Badoud, Hambidge Center executive director. “Past Ruston Argent Financial Distinguished fellowship recipients include last summer’s visual artist Frank Hamrick, musician Shayla Blake, and inaugural recipient, printmaking artist Raluca Iancu. All have gone on to hone their skills and to benefit Ruston and beyond.”
“Argent is proud to continue our support of the Hambidge Creative Residency Program,” said Kyle McDonald, Argent Financial Group CEO. “Prior years’ artists have had the ability to see the world in a new way and connect their own unique thoughts and energy with the rest of society. We’re looking forward to see what professional goals this year’s recipient is able to achieve and share with the greater Ruston community.”
The deadline for applications is January 15. For more information and to apply, visit the Hambidge Center website at www.hambidge.org.
