Argent Financial Group, a leading independent fiduciary wealth management firm, announced today that it will sponsor a third fellowship for the Hambidge Creative Residency Program. Applications are now open for the 2021 summer session that begins in May and runs through August.
The Argent Financial Distinguished Fellowship provides a $700 stipend and a two-week creative residency at the Hambidge Center in Rabun Gap, Georgia. Ruston residents who work in the visual arts, writing, ceramics, dance, music or culinary arts are eligible and encouraged to apply.
“We are thrilled that Argent Financial is supporting, for the third consecutive year, our mission of recognizing and supporting the creative individuals who make Ruston a great place to live,” said Jamie Badoud, Hambidge Center executive director. “Musician Shayla Blake, who received the 2020 Argent Financial Distinguished Fellowship, and inaugural recipient, printmaking artist Raluca Iancu, have been able to use the funds to continue to improve their craft and grow into artistic leaders in Ruston.”
“Argent is honored to continue our support for the Hambidge Creative Residency Program and help artists realize their creative and professional dreams,” said Kyle McDonald, Argent Financial Group CEO. “Our company believes that a vibrant artistic community is essential to sharing new ideas that make our world a better place to live.”
The deadline for applications is Friday, January 15. For more information and to apply, visit the Hambidge Center website at www.hambidge.org.
