Austin, Texas, March 19, 2018 – Argent Trust Company has opened an office in Austin and former Frost Bank executive vice president David Redding has joined the company to lead the new operation.

Redding brings to Argent Trust more than 28 years of experience leading complex investment, trust, estate, and retirement services administration teams in the financial services industry. As Austin market president, he will manage Argent’s operations in Austin and surrounding communities.

“I am thrilled to join the Argent Trust family and have the opportunity to help grow one of the largest, independent fiduciary wealth management firms in the South in my hometown,” said Redding. “Argent shares my fiduciary devotion to each client’s best interest and that a customized approach to wealth management is always best. I’m honored to be able to continue to serve the Austin community that I’ve called home for so many years.”

“David’s keen understanding of fiduciary operations and extensive leadership experience make him an outstanding addition to our team,” said Kyle McDonald, chairman of Argent Trust Company and CEO of Argent Financial Group. “He possesses that rare combination of extraordinary wisdom and technical skills. With our first phone call, it was apparent he is a man of high character with a deep knowledge of trusts, estates, investments and taxes. I’m honored that David agreed to lead our new team in Austin.”

Before joining Argent, Redding was executive vice president, regional fiduciary manager for Frost Wealth Advisors/Frost Bank in Austin. He is a board member of the Westminster Manor Retirement Community, a member and past president of the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas, and is also a past elder board chairman of Hill Country Bible Church. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Texas A&M University.
