ATLANTA, GEORGIA (January 8, 2015) – Argent Financial Group and its subsidiary Argent Trust Company, are pleased to announce the addition of Mark P. Shorthouse as Vice President and Fiduciary Consultant.
In his new role, Mark will manage complex ESOP relationships and major trust clients for the firm. Shorthouse has over 15 years of experience in the fiduciary services and consulting industry serving the needs of clients across the nation. Shorthouse holds a Bachelor of Science Industrial Engineering Degree from Georgia Institute of Technology and also holds his Series 7 and 63.
Shorthouse joins a seasoned team of fiduciary services professionals in Argent Trust’s Atlanta office. Dave Williams is Executive Vice President and Manager of Fiduciary Services and also serves as General Counsel to Argent Financial Group. Williams has over 40 years experience in law practice with a special emphases on employment related items and business transactions. In high demand for his professional insight and expertise, he speaks and writes about ESOPs and other employee benefit plan and executive compensation issues on the local and national level.
Steve Martin serves as Senior Vice President and Senior Fiduciary Consultant. Martin has over 35 years of employee benefit and trust administration experience, focusing on the most complex ESOP relationships. He has started or rebuilt fiduciary services departments for several other firms.
