Timothy has served with the Kentucky team since joining the Argent’s Louisville office in 2014. He has worked in the financial and estate planning area for over 30 years, including in his law practice and with J.P. Morgan Private Bank and PNC Wealth Management.
As Trust Counsel, Timothy provides strategic fiduciary planning support across Argent Trust Company for new trust development and acquisition. In the Kentucky market, he focuses on trust and estate planning, family office services, strategic wealth transfer, business succession and fiduciary services, including special needs trusts. Timothy creates and delivers tailored proposals that may include the considerable advantages of the Tennessee situs in trust ownership of closely-held business interests, asset protection, community property trusts, and transactional income tax trusts. He uses clients’ last wills and revocable trusts, irrevocable gift and income tax trusts, and grantor retained interest and charitable trusts to minimize income, gift and estate tax recognition, to organize, manage and preserve intergenerational wealth, and to accomplish long-term financial and charitable goals.
Timothy is a frequent speaker on trust strategies, choice of law, taxation, business succession and numerous other subjects for special groups and continuing education conferences. Timothy is vice president of the Metro Louisville Estate Planning Council, past president of the Estate Planning Council of Southern Indiana, a Brandeis Society scholar, a Bingham Fellow, serves on the University of Kentucky Estate Planning Institute Program Planning Committee, and is a member of the State Bar in Kentucky and Indiana.
