Mark P. Rutledge serves as Vice President, Fiduciary Consultant for our ESOP Team in the Atlanta office. He brings more than 40 years of valuation and financial advisory experience, with deep expertise in the valuation of businesses, business interests, and tangible and intangible assets.
Prior to joining Argent, Mark was Vice President at Prairie Capital Advisors, a national ESOP and financial advisory firm serving privately held businesses throughout the United States. His work has focused on complex valuation engagements supporting ESOPs, mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, corporate recapitalizations, gift and estate tax planning, management buyouts, buy-sell agreements, litigation matters, and other transactional and strategic needs.
Mark’s valuation experience spans ESOPs, business enterprises, common stock, stock options, synthetic equity, as well as tangible and fixed assets. He also has extensive experience valuing intangible assets, including patents, trademarks, trade names, proprietary technology, software, non-competition agreements, customer relationships, assembled workforce, goodwill, and going-concern value. In addition, he has been involved in purchase price allocations for both financial and tax reporting purposes.
Throughout his career, Mark has worked closely with valuation professionals and held the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) and Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designations for over 35 years, reflecting his depth of expertise and commitment to professional excellence.
