Cort Bethmann serves as Vice President, Wealth Advisor for Argent Trust Company. Cort earns trust from his clients by consistently delivering practical and proactive advice, empowering clients to accomplish their financial goals. Leveraging his experience in law as a practitioner, Cort tailors his planning for clients in areas from basic estate planning to strategic asset protection, challenging family dynamics, and other planning opportunities.
Prior to joining the Argent Trust Company team in January of 2018, Cort served clients at Independence Trust Company as a fiduciary offering his legal skill set as a collaborative resource for matters involving various types of trusts (revocable, community property, TUW, DAPTs, CLTs, Rabbi, etc.), estate planning, family dynamics, unique assets, and real estate.
Cort has had the distinguished honor to clerk for the Honorable Judge Pat Ferchill in the Probate Court No. 2 for Tarrant County, Texas. He earned a special Estate Planning Certificate at Texas A&M University School of Law by satisfying the rigorous requirements of core focus in the areas of Wills, Estate, Trusts, and Fiduciary Responsibility. As a licensed attorney in Tennessee and Texas, Cort actively participates in the Estate Planning Counsel of Middle Tennessee, Nashville Bar Association, Nashville Bar Probate & Estate Planning Sections, and the Williamson County Bar Association.
In addition to his professional engagements, Cort is active in his community serving on local boards47 and community groups. Internationally, Cort works with Homes of Hope in Mexico and the People for Care and Learning in Cambodia. He and wife, Tiffany, enjoy recreational travel as often as their daughters’ travel soccer schedule allows.
