Brooks serves as Central Regional Executive – Oxford Market President for Argent Trust Company, overseeing offices in Oxford and Ridgeland/Jackson, Mississippi; Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee; and Louisville, Kentucky, with direct management of the Oxford market. In addition to her leadership role with Argent Trust (TN), she now holds the role of Chief Culture Officer, where she leads the Argent Leadership Academy, culture team, internship program, professional development initiatives, and employee engagement efforts.
Brooks expanded the Oxford office in late 2018 after working in our Nashville office for eight years. In her role as Market President, she will direct, manage, and develop strategic direction for the talented and credentialed team in Oxford that shares her focus on creating an exceptional experience for clients. In addition, Brooks will work closely with our business line leaders in other markets to develop business and bring value and expertise to clients.
She started with Argent in 2009 and has passed Cannon Financial Institution Trust I School and Cannon Certified Wealth Strategist I School.
Prior to working for Argent, Brooks worked for Avenue Bank in Nashville, TN, as a personal banker.
Her work in her industry and community has resulted in many recognitions throughout her career. Brooks is honored to serve on the Association of Trust Organizations’ Board of Directors, a national organization of independently owned trust companies. Through her contribution to our industry’s association, she received the high honor of the Association of Trust Organizations’ 2024 Member of the Year and 2021 Rising Star. Brooks was also named one of the American Bankers Association’s Top 40 Under 40 in Wealth Management in 2022.
In 2016, Brooks received the Women of Influence Dynamic Duo Award from the Nashville Business Journal, was recognized as one of Nashville’s Top 30 Under 30 in 2012, and was selected to be part of the Young Leadership Council of Nashville in 2013. Brooks serves on the Board of Guardianship & Trust Corp, where she is the acting vice president and formerly served as secretary. In addition to those, Brooks is a member of the Mississippi Banking Association, where she teaches financial planning courses to young bankers.
To give back to the community of Oxford and causes that are important to her, she currently serves on five philanthropic boards and committees and is an active member of Christ Presbyterian Church of Oxford.
Brooks lives in Oxford with her husband, Port, and their sons, Porter and Wills, and their Golden Retriever, Louie. In her time away from work, she loves spending time with family and friends, being active outdoors, and going to Ole Miss football games.
