Aynsley K. Comer, J.D. serves as Trust and Business Development Officer for Argent Trust Company in the New Orleans market. With over 12 years of experience, she brings a strong background in gift planning, charitable giving, grant writing, foundation research, business development, and trust services—including special needs trusts and case management. She also has extensive experience in training and public speaking, making her a valuable resource for both clients and colleagues.
Before joining Argent, Aynsley served as Regional Development Director for The Salvation Army in New Orleans, where she managed a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects. Her work was rooted in up-to-date fundraising strategies and a deep understanding of charitable gift taxation laws.
Previously, she was a Business Development Executive at Capital First Trust Company, where she developed new business opportunities and maintained a strong network of financial advisors, trust attorneys, plaintiff attorneys, and settlement planners. She advised on a range of complex trusts—including supplemental and special needs trusts, personal injury settlement trusts, pooled special needs trusts, and dynasty trusts—while also providing consultation on customized annuity structures and navigating federal and state benefit programs such as SSI and Medicaid.
Aynsley earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2010, with a concentration in Louisiana civil law and international studies in Moscow and Vienna. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Tulane University, with additional study in Cambridge, Havana, and Costa Rica.
Aynsley is originally from North Carolina but has called New Orleans home for the past 25 years. She resides in the Uptown area and enjoys cooking, traveling, and live music.
